Who can you refer?
You can refer your family members and coworkers.
Does your referral qualify for membership? The person you refer must meet Southwest Airlines Federal Credit Union's membership eligibility requirements and open a qualifying account. Southwest Airlines Federal Credit Union's Field of Membership is a common bond of people. There are two ways to become a member: through your employer or through a family member. Retaining membership is just as easy: Simply keep a Membership Savings Account open with a minimum balance of $5.
Membership Through Your Family
Immediate family and household members are also eligible for membership. This includes spouses, brothers/sisters, parents, grandparents, children, and grandchildren. Please check with one of our Member Service Representatives if you have any questions on family eligibility.
Membership Through Your Company
If you are a member through your employer, then your coworkers already qualify for membership as well. Know a coworker who isn't a SWACU member yet? Refer them today and earn a reward when they join and meet the program requirements.
Membership eligibility required.
Referral bonus is available to current SWACU members only. The referred individual must not have been a SWACU member (primary or joint) within the past three (3) years. To qualify, the referred member must open a new SWACU savings and checking account, enroll in eStatements, and establish a recurring direct deposit within ninety (90) days of account opening. Referred members’ accounts must be in good standing at the time of payout. Bonus will be deposited into both members’ savings accounts within four (4) to six (6) weeks after all qualifying activities have been completed and verified. Cash incentives may be reported as taxable income. Offer cannot be combined with other promotions. Additional restrictions may apply. All accounts are subject to approval.
