Scholarships
Daniel J. Kimber Scholarship Program
The Daniel J. Kimber Scholarship Program has been established in memory of Daniel Jarrod Kimber, a valued employee of Southwest Airlines Federal Credit Union. This scholarship is to provide high school senior students with a portion of the funds needed to attend college. Scholarships will be awarded based on high school academic achievement, school/community involvement and submission of an essay.
We will begin accepting applications for the high school graduating class of 2024 on January 1, 2024. The application will be open until March 31, 2024, for the 2024-2025 school year.
Three scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $2,000 each to graduates who plan to continue their education at an accredited college, junior college or university no later than the Fall 2024 semester.
The 2024 scholarship application period is just around the corner, and we can't wait to welcome your applications!
Requirements
- Must be a SWACU member.
- Must be a graduating high school senior.
- Know what university, junior college or college you plan to attend.
- Complete the application and submit an essay.
Timeline
- January 1, 2024 - Application opens
- March 31, 2024 - Application closes
- June 1, 2024 - Recipients notified
