Membership Savings Account
If we were aliens spreading peace, LUV, and joy throughout the universe, this would be the mother ship. A Membership Savings Account is necessary to be a member of Southwest Airlines Federal Credit Union. And like any mother, it keeps on giving, with dividends earned daily.
Of course, keeping a savings account is kind of a no-brainer anyway. How else you gonna fund the big things in life? You know, like a house, college, hot tub, or annual Cabo San Lucas “recharge.”
There are several ways to get your membership savings account started, you can fill out an online information form below, by clicking on the “Apply Now” button, visit a branch, or apply by phone or mail. In order to become a member, we will require additional documentation to help us comply with the USA Patriot Act. We will also ask you to fill out a signature card to make your membership official.
Additional steps to opening your membership account:
1. A driver's license (or other official picture identification)
2. A second form of identification, such as a pay stub, employer ID badge, or utility bill.
3. Proof of eligibility to join the credit union, (i.e. pay stub, employer ID badge, business card)
4. A document showing your current physical address (even if you do not receive mail at that location), such as a driver's license, pay stub, employer ID or current utility bill.
5. Bring cash or a check for at least $50.00.
If you would like to join by phone or mail give one of our Member Service Representatives a call at 800-262-5325, and we'll mail you everything you need to open a SWACU Account.
